During the recent 24hrs, as preventive measures, minimization of other emergency consequences, fire-fighting and cleaning areas from the old munitions, 1878 interventions have been made by the emergency response units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
As the result of the undertaken measures there were 9 persons rescued, 62 buildings and 12 vehicles saved.

Confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ukraine

Complicated Weather Conditions in Some Oblasts of Ukraine
As of 07.00hrs February 12, as a result of harsh weather conditions and because of automatic electricity protection systems there are 86 towns in 6 oblasts that remain without electricity supply, namely: Lviv oblast – 38 towns, Odesa oblast – 15 towns, Sumy oblast – 15 towns, Kyivska oblast – 7 towns, Chernivtsi oblast – 2 towns and Zakarpattia oblast – 4 towns. Local electricity supply repair teams have been engaged in repair works.
According to the information of Ukravtodor in order to ensure the efficient operation of road snow removal equipment, the movement of heavy and large vehicles on certain sections of roads in Volyn and Lviv regions remains limited.
1900 persons and 1600 vehicles were involved for clearing roads from the Road Service.
During the past 24hrs, SES units released 254 vehicles from snowdrifts (since the beginning of the weather - more than 802), including 5 ambulances (from the beginning of the weather - 23) and 5 buses (from the beginning of the weather - 28) and assistance was provided to 357 people (from the beginning of the weather - about 1.2 thousand people). Tidy up 3 felled trees (since the beginning of the weather - 14). 476 persons and 133 vehicles were engaged from the SES.
8 heating points of the SES continue to function at the entrances to Kyiv City (24 people were provided per day, more than 300 since the beginning of the weather).
To provide the monitoring of situation and provide assistance, as well as in case of complication of weather conditions, there have been 12 personnel and 7 vehicles of the SES of Ukraine engaged in the mountain passes in Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia oblasts.
Coordination of actions on transport connection is carried out by the interministerial headquarters of Ukravtodor and Road Services in the regions.
