The fourth, final stage of this year demining activities in the territory of the Lysychansk United Territorial Community, which began on November 5, has been completed. Pyrotechnicians surveyed and cleared the area from explosive ordnance with the support of the Danish Refugee Council / Danish Demining Group.

On December 22 Put y l Village Council hosted a presentation of the project "Creating a system of automatic notification o n emergencies o n the territory of the Put y l a United Territorial Community", implemented under the Program to support initiatives of local Carpathian communities (implemented by the Association "Euroregion-Carpathians-Ukraine"). with the support of the Chernivtsi Regional Council and the Chernivtsi Regional Development Agency. The applicant of the project is the Coordination Council of the Chernivtsi Regional Charitable Foundation "Fire Protection" in partnership with the Put y l a village council.

Scientists of Lviv State University of Life Safety (D.Eng.Sc., Prof. Vasyl Popovych, Associate Professor Myroslava Kusii, M.Agr. Natalia Gotsii, online - Iryna Kochmar, Dr.-Ing. Pavlo Bosak, Associate Professors of the Department of Ecology Roman Konanets, Kateryna Korol and Associate Professor of the Department of Management Oleh Kovalchuk took part in the Scientific Conference “Environmental pollution by solid waste dumps. Challenges and threats for Ecology”, which took place in Warsaw.

Representatives of the Main Department of the SES of Ukraine in Chernivtsi oblast, who are on a working visit to Romania, took part in the project “Improving public safety in the cross-border region by strengthening joint activities for training and cooperation in emergency management (BRIDGE)”.

On December 15, the SES hosted a meeting with the head of the Union of Voluntary Fire Brigades of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Marek Kowalski, on a range of issues of Ukrainian-Polish cooperation in the field of emergency situations.

A three-day training for the leadership of united territorial communities and security centers of citizens who came to Mariupol City from all over the region started on December 14, during which rescuers from Donetsk oblast shared theoretical knowledge and practical experience. The event organized by UNDP is taking place at the Emergency Rescue Unit of Special Assignment of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Donetsk oblast.

A delegation of the Main Department of the SES of Ukraine in Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast is on a working visit to Romania. On December 15, in Bucharest, First Deputy Head of the Main Department Ihor Oksentyuk and Head of the International Cooperation Sector of the Main Department Mykola Burlak took part in the signing of the Donation Act to the Main Department for Humanitarian Aid - two special rescue vehicles (fire trucks) of the ROMAN brand. The signing took place at the headquarters of the Donor, the Romanian Agency for International Development Cooperation - RoAid.

On December 10, the SES hosted an online working meeting of the Ukrainian side with experts of the Program for Prevention, Preparedness and Response to Natural and Man-Made Disasters in the Eastern Partnership Countries PPRD East3.

The third meeting of the Steering Committee of the "Joint Emergency Response Around the Danube – JERAD " project is taking place in Tulcea, Romania (2 SOFT/4.2 /70). The project has been implemented since February 2020 by two partners - Delta Inspectorate for Emergency Situations in Tulcea County, Romania and the Main Department of the SES of Ukraine in the Odesa Oblast. The project activity is financed by the Joint Operational Program Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020.

The delegation of the Main Department of the SES of Ukraine in Ivano-Frankivsk oblast took part in the third-round table of the project “Adaptation of the former observatory on the Pip Ivan Mountain to the needs of alpine rescue service training center” (PIMReC), that has been organized with the financial support of the European Union under the Cross-Border Cooperation Program Poland - Belarus - Ukraine 2014 – 2020.

On December 7, an official delivery of Mercedes-Benz off-road fire truck equipped with hydraulic tools, a generator, fire hoses and other equipment to local rescuers took place in the territory of the 9th State Fire and Rescue Unit in Berdychiv Town. This humanitarian aid was received by the rescuers of Berdychiv Town from Norway with the help of local benefactors from the charity organization “Warming Center”, which, in turn, received this truck from the charity mission “Faith, Hope, Love”.

These days, rescuers of Chernivtsi oblast together with police and public activists within the project “Safety of Bukovyna communities” organized an informational and explanatory event for schoolchildren in the village of Kamiana of Chernivtsi district.
