The National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine entered the academic ranking of higher education institutions “Top 200 Ukraine” in 2020, worthily representing the thirteenth leading higher education institution of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the sphere of civil protection and became a leader among higher education institutions of law enforcement agencies. Over the last year, NUCPU has improved its performance and has the current rank 79th.
In compiling this year's ranking, the experts took into account the current trends in university development, summarized by the International IREG Conference (IREG 2019 Conference, Bologna, Italy, May 8-10, 2019), and the Berlin Principles, approved by the second IREG meeting (Berlin, Germany, 18- May 20, 2006).
In total, 30 indicators of direct measurement were used to form the indices indicated in the rating (personal data, information from free economic zones, data from international university associations, data on free economic participation in international projects (Horizon 2020, Erasmus +), information on free economic participation in international rankings). Webometrics, Scopus, uniRank), data from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, USEED, data from the Committee on State Prizes of Ukraine and the Taras Shevchenko Prizes, participation of higher educational institutions in projects funded by NATO under the Science for Peace and Security Program, participation of higher educational institutions in bilateral projects, the average competitive score of the entrant and other open data).
For the thirteenth year in a row, the National University of Civil Protection of Ukraine occupies a leading position, annually increasing its rankings, as well as a noticeable trend of increasing integration into European and world educational and scientific space and measures to increase citation indices by Scopus and Web of Science.
