Representatives of the Department of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Chernivtsi Oblast are cooperating with their Polish colleagues in organizing a voluntary fire brigade. Currently, the project "Improvement of the Civil Protection System in the United Territorial Communities of Ukraine" is underway in the region, funded by the U-LEAD program with Europe.
Volunteers are being trained for firefighters of two united territorial communities - Mamayivska and Velykokuchurivska - which will last until June 24. They are attended by 24 volunteers - residents of the united territorial communities, who agreed to assist local fire and rescue units in the elimination of the consequences of fires and other situations. Special training of local firefighters and members of voluntary fire protection involves training participants in firefighting tactics during emergencies, their acquaintance with the peculiarities of work in personal protective equipment. Also, considerable attention will be paid to the training of pre-medical, psychological training and labor protection.
Due to the operational measures taken to combat viral diseases, training takes place in the software environment "ZOOM". The first classes for the participants were conducted by Polish rescuers, sharing the experience of organizing the activities of voluntary fire brigades of the Republic of Poland. In the future, representatives of Mamayivska and Velykokuchurivska united territorial communities are trained by specialists of the training point of the Emergency Rescue Detachment of the special purpose of the Department of the SESU of Ukraine in Chernivtsi oblast.
Upon completion of the training, students will take a test, the results of which will be able to start working in voluntary fire brigades.
