Rescuers warn that going out on the ice can cost citizens their lives!
The statistics of deaths on water bodies are impressive: since the beginning of the year, water has claimed the lives of 96 people, including 3 children. Only in March, 4 people died and 8 more were rescued.
Despite the warnings of rescuers, despite the warming, citizens continue to go out on the ice of the reservoirs, exposing themselves to direct danger. Such a careless attitude to one's own life and health can threaten a person with death, but the worst thing is that citizens do not even think about such consequences!

During the recent week the units from the SES of Ukraine rescued 79 persons and extinguished 890 fires
During the recent week (February 22–28) the units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine performed interventions to prevent emergencies, ensured rapid response to accidents and consequence relief, fire-fighting, and other rescue activities.
Since the beginning of the week there were 1 148 events reported that were responded to by the SES units with intervention to the sites. As a result of these interventions, there were 79 persons saved.

Poltava Oblast: rescuers received humanitarian aid from colleagues from Scotland
Poltava garrison rescuers of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine received firefighting and fire-rescue equipment from colleagues from Scotland as part of humanitarian aid. Scottish Emergency Rescue Association and Blythswood Саге provided firefighters with gloves, helmets, fire jackets and trousers, helmets, shoes, feed hoses, rope rescue kits, sliding stretcher, inflatable shelter and generators.

Rescue Specialists urge citizens not to put their lives at risk, going on thin ice!
Since the beginning of 2021 on water Ukraine killed at least 60 people. Rescuers are working daily warning of emergencies related deaths in reservoirs, conducting preventive work with the population, teach citizens algorithm of actions in case of falling under the ice. At the same time, for those who ignore the warnings of emergency workers, going out on the ice can turn into a tragedy!

Taking care of children's safety, teaching them to behave properly in extreme situations is an urgent task for all adults, because children are the future of the nation. It is very unfortunate that the irresponsibility and inadequate attention of parents to teaching their children the rules of safe living lead to unfortunate consequences.

Recently, researchers of the Department of Occupational Safety and Technogenic and Environmental Safety of the National University of Civil Defense of Ukraine took part in the final conference of the project "Equality for Security" "Lessons and prospects for localization of the National Action Plan" Women, Peace, Security "in Ukraine". Rescuers appeal to the citizens not to risk their lives when going on hike tours in poor weather conditions
For several weeks in a row, the rescuers have been persistently warning the citizens about the avalanche danger on the slopes of the Carpathians. Snowfalls and blizzards in the highlands pose a direct threat to human life and health of tourists who, despite the warnings of the rescuers, go to the mountains in bad weather.
Rescuers are permanently involved in the search and rescue of people who lost the way, particularly in the mountains, and deviated from the planned route, or got injuries during the hike.

During the recent week the units from the SES of Ukraine rescued 102 persons and extinguished 813 fires
During the recent week (January 25 – 31) the units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine performed interventions to prevent emergencies, ensured rapid response to accidents and consequence relief, fire-fighting, and other rescue activities.
Since the beginning of the week there were 1 182 events reported that were responded to by the SES units with intervention to the sites. As a result of these interventions, there were 102 persons saved.

Rescuers are conducting raids in institutions that care for the elderly
A fire in an illegal private home for the elderly in Kharkiv that claimed the lives of 16 elderly people shook the whole of Ukraine. The tragedy showed the terrible consequences of non-compliance with fire regulations. To prevent a repeat of the disaster, rescuers carry out raids on institutions that care for the elderly, where they check whether the fire safety standards in the premises, as well as remind staff and wards of fire and man-made safety rules that must be followed.

Rescuers warn Ukrainians about winter dangers!
No bad weather or warning of the Rescue Service does not stop citizens from seeking a "thrill". And it is not only about appeals of rescuers to take care of fire safety in the home, in view of the growing number of fires in the residential sector of the country, but also about the warnings not to go to the mountains and water bodies.
